Cashews
Cashew is the world’s favorite nut and the major Regions of Producers of Raw Cashew Nuts are India, Brazil, West Africa and East Africa
Following countries produce Cashew nuts Benin, Brazil, Burkina faso, Cambodia, Ivory Coast, Guinea Bissau, Ghana, Gambia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mozambique, Mali, Madagascar, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Togo & Vietnam. Almost half of the world’s cashews come from sub-Saharan Africa. Three countries India, Brazil and Vietnam process most of the cashew nuts in the world.
Today India has become the largest processor as well as consumer of finished cashew nuts in the world followed by USA as far as consumption goes. Tanzania and Guinea-Bissau are the largest producers of cashew nuts in Africa, each accounting for approximately 8% of the world’s production.
